NASCAR SCHEDULE

As usual the off-season for NASCAR has been quite busy and pleasant. At the first race of the year, a lot of down time is absent when the season runs from February to November. The Daytona 500 is also considered as the most significant events.
NASCAR TV Schedule:
The Nextel Cup races will be distributed among the TV associates as follows:
- The Daytona 500 and the next 12 races are scheduled to air on Fox.
- The 7 late summer races, with the prized Brickyard 400 at Indy will be broadcasted by ESPN.
- The Pepsi 400 Daytona and the next 6 races will be telecasted by TNT.
- The final 10 races will be broadcasted by ABC. ABC will air 6 races while ESPN/ESPN2 will air 29 races of the Busch series.
- The latest TV agreement was signed at the extreme of 2005 and is valid from 2007 to 2014. US$600M per year or US$4.8B is the total value that was quoted for the deal. The total value tends to be a discouragement for any one network to cover. It can be distributed among the available networks at a definite extent, as the NASCAR involves to “premier” events throughout the entire season.
Distributions:
