NASCAR
Introduction:
NASCAR is the abbreviation for the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing. It is the biggest sanctioning organization, with regards to motor sports in the US. The NEXTEL Cup, the Craftsman Truck Series and the Bush Series are the three largest series, which are approved by NASCAR. In addition, NASCAR also monitors the functioning of the Whelen Modified Tour, the Whelen All-American Series and the NASCAR Regional Racing. As much as 1500 races are sanctioned by NASCAR in more than 100 race tracks spanning over 39 states in the United States, Mexico and Canada. From the beginning of the year 1996 till the year 1998, exhibition races were held by NASCAR in Japan and in Australia.

In terms of the television rankings, NASCAR has gone on to become the second most viewed professional sports event only following the National Football League. Throughout the world, the NASCAR Races are held in more than 150 nations. More than 17 out of the 20 sporting events are held in the United States. The NASCAR comprises of as much as seventy five million racing fans, which buy over three billion dollars by way of yearly licensed sales of products.

The headquarters of the NASCAR is situated in Daytona Beach in the state of Florida. In addition, the offices of NASCAR are also situated in the cities of North Carolina such as Mooresville, Charlotte, Conover and Concord. The regional offices of NASCAR are situated in Los Angeles, New York City and Arakansas. The international offices of NASCAR are situated in Toronto in Canada and Mexico City in Mexico. |
