HENDRICK MOTORSPORTS
Introduction:
Hendrick Motor sports the NASCAR racing team group initiated in the year 1984, with the title “All Star Racing”. Hendrick Motor sports only used to race the Chevrolet cars, both in the Busch Series and the Nextel Cup. As much as six Cup Series championships were collected by the Hendrick Motorsports, in addition to one Busch series and three Craftsman Truck Series. This made the motorsport the premier organizations of stock racing. The construction of entire Hendrick race cars is done at the 62 acre factory in the town of Concord, in North Carolina. In addition, more than 700 engines are reconstructed in the site every year and the team leases some of them to other outfits of NASCAR.
Debut:
Hendrick Motorsports had its debut in the year 1984. Geoff Bodine drove the Northwestern Security Life Chevy Monte Carlo. Bodine had run in all the thirty races. Bodine had won thrice and finished ninth in the respective year. The overall performance improved in the year 1985. In that year, Bodine finished fifth in points. For a brief period, the team became a two–car team when the Exxon Chevy was driven by Dick Brooks. The team moved to a full time multi car team in the year 1986. In the same year, Bodine won the motor racing thrice.
Firm Management:
More than 400 people are employed in Hendrick Motorsports. Management of website of the firm, the marketing, sponsor services, show cars, merchandising, licensing are some of the daily activities, which are catered to in Hendrick Motorsports. |
